The New Harmony Town Park has recently installed new playground equipment and a multi use court for basketball, rollerblading, pickleball, and volleyball. These improvements were in part financed from the Washington County Binnie Recycling program. Bins are located on the East side of town by the cemetery. Many memebers of the community recycle their paper, plastic, metel and glass. Money from this program is returned to the town to make improvement to the parks and recreation program. The improvements compleated in 2014/15 were also community volunteer based projects. Special thanks to Tiffany Anderson, Mark Imlay, Kim Loyd, the Woods, Rod and Jay Fenn, the Princes, the Hadleys, and many many others. Future improvements are a shade pavillion and more playground equipment at the park, as well as a storage shed. In 2015/16 a shade pavillion and pit toilet are sceduled to be built at the Nature Park Trail Head East of town and a swingset installed. A map to the nature park trails can be found at the trailhead.
